G-Tape – it’s the only joist tape you need. This deck flashing sticks, but not to itself and leaves no residue, and tears easily like masking tape. No other deck tape is like it. Provides airtight and waterproof protection for any deck project.
Nichigo G-Tape™ is a self-adhering flashing tape that is suitable for installation of exterior wall fenestration products. Including, but not limited to, decks, windows and doors. GTape maintains its performance even after prolonged exposure to sunlight and rain, and the adhesive self-heals around steel and galvanized aluminum fasteners, protecting from rust and wood rot.

Overview
What is joist tape?
Joist tape is a product that when applied to the top of framing members, mitigates moisture retention by these wood fiber products. Because water and debris do not accumulate and collect on top of the wood frame, the lifespan of the extends while preventing rot and decay caused by these environmental effects.
Is G-Tape Deck Flashing the best joist tape?
G-Tape sets itself apart from the industry with a patented acrylic adhesive and woven cloth substrate. Additionally, the acrylic adhesive not only provides high adhesion strength but is also repositionable without leaving a sticky residue, unlike it’s butyl counterparts. This tape is still repositionable for approximately the first hour after activating the adhesive.
Details
The cloth substrate is is straight-line hand tearable, every time. Additionally, because it is cloth, regardless of how you tear Nichigo G-Tape™, it will not create rough, sharp edges.
Stability and strength are key components of this tape because of it’s low-density polyethylene film. The film increases the tensile strength and abrasion resistance of Nichigo G-Tape™.
This combination of key features makes Nichigo G-Tape™ an ideal product as a joist tape for decks, and across many different applications, including automotive, aviation, and building/construction.
