The Diamond Pier Driving Bit quickly installs pins by driving through Diamond Pier Deck Foundation Blocks and into the soil. It is engineered to drive a 1″ diameter galvanaized Diamond Pier Pin that accompanies both the DP50 and DP75 models.
This driving bit is designed to be used with a medium sized breaker hammer with a 1-1/8″ hex shaft.
Experience the future of building with Diamond Piers, the revolutionary foundation system designed to simplify your construction projects while providing unparalleled strength and stability.
Diamond Pier foundation uses the strength of a precast concrete head to lock in four weight-bearing, galvanized steel pins that transfer the load to a larger area of undisturbed soil than the traditional concrete footing.
Only automatic breaker/demolition hammers should be used with the Diamond Pier Driving Pin to install the pins. Any standard automatic hammer that will handle a 1-1/8″ hex shaft can be used, provided it can be properly and safely controlled by the operator and not risk injury or damage to the concrete head.
Soft or loose soils will allow for the use of lighter lower-energy hammers. Stiff or dense soils will require electric hammers in the higher impact range or standard jackhammers driven by compressed air. In most cases, the DP-50 and DP-75 are installed with electric hammers. Roto-hammers are not adequate.
The Diamond Pier Driving Bit is not to be used with, or as, a sledgehammer.
